Vaginal ovules with sodium hyaluronate and lactic acid
LIBIFEME® Optimal is a medical device that helps maintain the natural defences of the vagina and enhances the recovery of the normal vaginal flora; containing sodium hyaluronate and lactic acid, it helps to eliminate the symptoms resulting from an imbalance of vaginal hydration and/or vaginal pH. Therefore, it is useful as adjuvant in the prevention and treatment of vaginal dryness, of both anti-inflammatory and infective diseases of the vagina, and in case of vaginal irritation, burning and itching as well.

LIBIFEME® Optimal vaginal ovules help maintain the natural defences of the vagina and enhance the recovery of the normal vaginal flora. With its protective, fast and topical action promote vaginal lubrication and reduce symptoms of burning, itching and irritation due to vaginal infections.
INGREDIENTS
Composition:
Each ovule contains: polycarbophil, 18-beta-glycyrrhetic acid, sodium hyaluronate, vitamin E (DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate), vitamin A (retinol palmitate), tea tree (Melaleuca) oil, phosphatidylcholine, lactic acid, semisynthetic triglycerides.
Therefore, it is useful as adjuvant in the prevention and treatment of vaginal dryness, of both anti-inflammatory and infective diseases of the vagina, and in case of vaginal irritation, burning and itching as well.
Sodium hyaluronate at 10 mg/ovule exerts a hydrating and lubricating action against vaginal dryness, contributes to restore a natural and comfortable vaginal environment.
Lactic acid - normally present in the vagina – favours an immediate pH correction and facilitates the natural recovery of the delicate vulvo-vaginal ecosystem.
Polycarbophyl interacting with vaginal mucus can constantly release H+ ions contributing to lower the pH of vaginal environment.
Presentation: 5 vaginal ovules.
INSTRUCTIONS
Insert 1 ovule/day in the vagina, preferably in the evening before sleeping, for 5-7 days after menstrual cycle or according to your doctor's instructions.
1. Wash vaginal area properly;
2. Open the package and after having washed properly your hands, take one ovule from the blister;
3. Gently insert the ovule deep into the vagina; preferably in supine position, avoiding accidental exit of the ovule out of the vagina.
PRECAUTIONS:
During pregnancy, lactation and for children, the use of ovules must be limited only if strictly required and under direct control of your doctor.
CAUTIONS:
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not swallow.
Do not use if package has been previously opened or damaged.
Do not use the product after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the unopened and properly stored product.
Do not use the product in case of vaginal lesions and wounds.
Do not use the product during menstruation.
Mono-use device. In case of accidental exit of the ovule out of the vagina, do not re-use the ovule.
In case of the intact hymenal membrane, consult gynaecologist on the specific method of use.
Do not exceed the suggested dosage without medical advice.
The use, especially if prolonged - may increase sensitivity. If this is the case, stop the treatment and consult the doctor. It is important to inform your doctor or pharmacist about any undesirable effects not reported in the leaflet.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Store in dry place at temperature between 5°C and 25°C, away from light and heat.
